Our project spanned both the Kigoma region and the Dar es Salaam coastal area. In Kigoma, we worked with 200 smallholder fishers and community members from Lake Tanganyika’s fishing communities. In Dar es Salaam, we engaged 700 women in consultation and capacity-building sessions focused on sustainable fisheries and community development. Across both regions, we addressed challenges such as limited services, poor infrastructure, and environmental degradation. Importantly, we developed climate adaptation plans tailored to the needs of these communities.
