Who we are
We are the ones to decide the future of Africa.
No Taka is a mobile Climate Action Eco Hub based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, leveraging Technology, Innovation, Advocacy and Learning to impact generations with skills and information on Sustainability and Circular Economy.
At No Taka, the complexities of Climate Change as a networked issue are narrowed down to simple and practical concepts through project activities that birth an eco-conscious society and individuals.
Our main focus groups are:
Children – They are the generation to inherit Earth
Youth – They are the driving power of change and future leaders.
Women – They are on the frontlines facing adverse climate change effects as lead force of productivity
We envision a community that fully participates in development and creation of solution to challenges. A ripple effect. Therefore, our key principles to change are:

Careen Joel Mwakitalu
FOUNDER
Careen is a Tanzanian Youth & Climate Advocate, SDGs champion and An experienced development communications professional.
Careen is extending her contribution in Programs on climate inclusion, resilience and recovery in Eastern and Southern Africa countries.
Jesca B. Mkama
CO-FOUNDER
Jesca is a young human rights and environment advocate working in business and finance sector with over 5 years of comprehensive experience.
She implements sustainability at the heart of societal development through advocacy and innovation.
She’s a passionate environmentalist dedicating her skills and creativity to imprint the sustainable development goals in local communities.
Sekela Richard Mwakabende
CO-FOUNDER
Sekela is a seasoned mass communicator and human rights advocate working in the civil society sector in Tanzania.
Her work takes keen interest in citizen engagement, integrated youth inclusion and learning.
Winfrida David
CO-FOUNDER
Winfrida is a Journalist and Philanthropist with extensive experience in the media sector and international logistics.
She’s passionate about human rights and community empowerment. She dedicates her skills, time and resources to community development projects around gender equality and economic sustainability.

COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA STRATEGIST
Prisca is a Tanzanian Media & Communications Professional that has aligned with No Taka to create, share and amplify ideas and correct information on climate in African countries through a variety of methods including digital and social platforms.
